Debbie Gradkowski has two sons playing
in the NFL but that doesn’t stop her from getting star struck once in a while.
The mother of four had just finished watching her youngest
son, Gino, play his third preseason game in the NFL and was waiting to see him
following the Ravens 48-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
While waiting for Gino, Ray Lewis walked by and Gradkowski
couldn’t contain herself according to the following tweet from Gino’s Twitter
account, brought to light by Zack Wilt of Baltimore
Sports Report.
Gino’s mother will undoubtedly have plenty of opportunities
to meet Lewis, as it’s all but certain her son will be around when the 53-man
roster announcements are made at the end of the month. Still, she couldn’t
resist her first opportunity.
The moment is actually pretty funny when you think about it.
Mothers will always be passionate about their kids in sports, even if your kid
is 6’-4”, almost 300 pounds and plays professionally.
Debbie’s heart will be torn as her sons, Gino and brother
Bruce, a backup quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, will face off against
each other on Monday Night Football September 10th.
Debbie’s passion may get the best of her though if Bruce
somehow finds himself in the game with Lewis lurking across the line of
scrimmage. If Lewis can get his hands on Bruce and drive him into the ground,
which son will Debbie be cheering for?
Regardless, this is a pretty funny story.
