We just can’t get that damn word out of our vocabulary, can we?
Before their six-minute Faith Hill music theme, NBC spent what seemed like a solid four hours on the word “elite” and how it relates to “Joe Flacco”.
Rodney Harrison, the former six-year Patriot and teammate of Tom Brady, seemed offended that Flacco would speak so highly of himself. I suppose he would prefer Flacco to say “Eh, I’m not that great of a QB,” when asked about his skills. Of course, Harrison also unbiasedly predicted a Patriots win on Sunday night.
Seriously, he used the word “unbiased” when making his pregame prediction.
Here’s the back story in case you forgot or block out stupid meaningless offseason comments that everyone makes a big deal about.
“I assume everybody thinks they’r e a top–five quarterback,” Joe told WNST back in April. ”I mean, I think I’m the best. I don’t think I’m top five, I think I’m the best.”
Last night, after Flacco out-performed Patriots quarterback/pretty boy Tom Brady, Ravens head coach John Harbaugh added fuel to the elite fire.
“It was fantastic, it was elite,” Harbaugh said of Flacco’s performance. “I see that one coming. To me, Joe is a great quarterback.”
