So Nnamdi Asomugha doesn’t like the defensive play calling and he shares those concerns with the media.
The next day Eagles’ defensive coordinator Juan Castillo is fired.
Cam Newton, frustrated by the Panthers 1-5 start and his passer rating of 79.3 and proceeds to cry a river to anyone who will listen. And then he champions the concept of a suggestion box looking for someone’s, anyone’s recommendations to help change Carolina’s losing ways.
“I’m going to bring in a suggestion box. And I want your suggestions in that suggestion box, because I sure don’t know. I really don’t.”
The next day GM Marty Hurney is fired.
Are you starting to see a pattern here?
What suggestions would you give to John Harbaugh if he implemented a suggestion box of his own?
Speaking of suggestions, I suggest that the Ravens keep all microphones away from Ed Reed. Reed and a mic go together like Lindsay Lohan and a motor vehicle. It’s just a matter of time before there’s a wreck.
And while we’re on the topic of wrecks, what about the Ravens’ offense on the road this season? Pretty nauseating if you ask me. Thankfully I didn’t feel out of place with my super-sized bottle of Pepto next to me during the month of October.
Apparently Joe Flacco wasn’t all that upset about the Texas-sized thumping Houston put on them this past Sunday:
“They put some pressure on us. They definitely tried to bring a couple guys there maybe in the second series we had. But after that, they weren’t doing things that we didn’t expect. They were coming at us, doing what they do. We knew what they were doing, we just probably didn’t execute as well as we think we should have.”
Seriously?
So you knew what they were going to do but still insisted on throwing passes into JJ Watts’ armpits?
For once I’d love to hear Joe say: “We sucked; I sucked; the game plan sucked and we all need to get better if we want to have a successful season. The bye comes at a great time for us to get our act together and finish the back end of the season strong.”
Is the truth too much to ask? Isn’t admitting one’s mistakes the first step towards recovery?
The bye has come at SUCH the perfect time!
That said, November 4 can’t get here soon enough!
