Joe Flacco had a lot of hype after his rookie season. He took his team to the AFC Championship game and eventually was named the Diet Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year.
The following offseason, Flacco was a part of the Fantasy File campaign by Reebok where he showed off his accuracy by “shooting” clay pigeons out of the sky, not with a shotgun, but footballs.

Like Flacco, Johnny Manziel has done plenty during his rookie/freshman season at Texas A&M. Winning the Heisman Trophy a redshirt freshman, Manziel, or “Johnny Football” as he’s known, took a page out of Flacco’s book and knocked clay pigeons out of the sky; however, unlike in the Reebok commercial, he did it without trick photography (I think?).
Manziel’s clay pigeon shots are just one of many he displays in this video with YouTube sensations and trick shot phenoms Dude Perfect, a five-man team of Texas A&M grads that have achieved plenty of national publicity for their amazing trick shots with basketballs.
Given their college ties, pairing Johnny
Football Trickshot with the Dude Perfect team clearly makes sense, and it’s great to see that there are football inspired trick shots as well.
Here is the five-minute video, for your sheer amazement.
Now that Johnny Football has raised the bar for football trick shots, it’s going to be up to Flacco to respond during this offseason.
Is there any shot better than throwing a football with a Super Bowl ring on your finger? That could become a reality for Flacco next Sunday as he and the Ravens will play the 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII.
