Federal Hill Victory Party (Time-lapse video)

Share
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Just a short walk from Baltimore’s iconic Inner Harbor lies the quiet and historic Federal Hill.

Fed Hill, as its known, is one of the three main bar districts in Baltimore City, and is known as the party spot – and one hell of a party spot if your team wins the Super Bowl.

Mother’s Federal Hill Grille has long been known as the epicenter of any Ravens related activity in the city outside of M&T Bank Stadium. Their “Purple Patio” and painted asphalt football field is the playground for fans old enough to enjoy adult beverages and after a big win (or in this case, three big wins) an unkindness of fans flock to the intersection of Charles and Cross streets to show their support for their hometown Ravens.

The sounds of a victory are amazing. From blocks away you can hear thousands of fans chanting Seven Nation Army in unison as the noise is mixed with the sounds of helicopters peering down on the scene from above.

Sunday night’s festivities were captured by the Baltimore Sun and a time-lapse camera. Every 15-seconds, a picture was taken and documented the party in Federal Hill from start to finish. If you look closely, you’ll see the few attention seeking idiots that climbed trees and light poles and jumped on cars, but otherwise, it was a great celebration of Ravens fans basking in victory.

There could have actually been more people thrown into the mix but police began to immediately turn people away. Just as many people were walking towards the crowd as they were away. If it hadn’t been for the police, the party would have at least been doubled.

This is just a small sample of the people who will greet the Ravens tomorrow during their second Super Bowl victory parade. What a great day for Charm City!
