Ravens rookie safety Matt Elam plans to sign his first contract without the assistance of an agent, according to the Baltimore Sun.

That is not surprising, considering Elam is the only player selected in this year’s draft who isn’t already represented by an agent. Elam is being advised by his older brother Abram Elam, a former NFL safety with the Browns, Chiefs, Cowboys, Dolphins and Jets.

The current collective bargaining agreement calls for Elam, the 32nd pick in the draft, to get a four-year, $6.767 million contract with a $3.301 million signing bonus. Elam is the only Ravens pick still unsigned, but he is expected to ink his deal prior to rookies reporting on July 21. Elam was impressive during minicamps, and will battle James Ihedigbo for a starting safety spot opposite Michael Huff.
