Kudos to Coach John Harbaugh, his assistants and the players for being able to chuckle at themselves this week despite being the focus of a less than glamorous national spotlight over the “Love Bus” incident. Playing Tommy Roe’s 1966 bubble gum pop hit “Sweet Pea” at practice was the perfect method of imposing a very light punishment (some would consider it worse punishment than others) while loosening up a team preparing for a tough road game.
Coach Harbaugh continues to demonstrate why he is among the best in the NFL by turning a slightly embarrassing incident into a morale booster for the team while deftly imposing a very light touch punishment and a humorous lesson with his choice of practice music.
