Back in the days of Brian Billick the media could get pretty close to the sideline during training camp at McDaniel College.
One day while kneeling and catching up on my notes as Gary Zauner put his punt and punt return units on the field, I remember Roderick Green running down the sideline closest to me.
Here was a man who was 250+ pounds who could really run.
A second after he passed I could feel a breeze whisk by. I couldn’t help but think what it must feel like to get blind-sided by someone like that or to run at him with a full head of steam with the responsibility of bringing him down.
The thought seemed about as inviting as a sprint into a parked school bus.
Today I found this video of Green Bay Packers linebacker AJ Hawk at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship Tournament in Lake Tahoe.
A fan in attendance, for some unknown reason asked Hawk to tackle him. The Packer obliged and went Terry Tate on the fan.
