Secondary, A Primary Concern

The Baltimore Ravens currently have the NFL’s 24th ranked pass defense yielding 263.2 yards per game and they rank 21st in opponent’s passer rating (94.0). Changes are needed particularly now that Jimmy Smith is out for the season after undergoing surgery on his foot.

For help the Ravens turned to an old friend, Danny Gorrer. But can he provide it? We put Gorrer under the scope to learn the Tale of the Tape courtesy of Kirby Insurance.

Must Win?

While Sunday’s game against the Titans isn’t mathematically a must-win game, practically speaking, it is! A loss against a (2-6) team at home against a rookie quarterback in all likelihood would send the Ravens 2014 playoff hopes spiraling out of control.

Here’s what they’ll need to do to secure the win in Battle Plans, brought to you by Bob’s Overhead Door.

London Calling?

This week the NFL announced its slate of games to be played in London next season at Wembley Stadium. You are probably pleased to learn that the Baltimore Ravens are not among the participants. Could they be in the future? Absolutely. Could the Ravens lose a home game to London? ABSOLUTELY NOT!

Click HERE to find out why.

HELP WANTED: Playmakers

Remember the days when the Ravens defense would strike fear in opponents? When they had players who could quickly alter the outcome of games? Today the Ravens don’t have such players on either side of the ball and that’s a reflection on the organization.

Unfortunately the Ravens have a dearth of playmakers. More HERE courtesy of Toyota.

I Wanna Be a Contender!

Are the Ravens genuinely a playoff contender? Will they eventually punch their ticket to the postseason dance or will, without Ray Lewis and Ed Reed, once again be at home watching on TV? For all of this week’s posts click HERE.

Will the Ravens make the playoffs this season?
