With his monster 3.5-sack day in Miami, Elvis Dumervil became the most accomplished single-season pass rusher in Ravens’ history. He now has 16.0 sacks this season, which pushed him ahead of Peter Boulware who had previously held the record with 15.0 sacks in 2001. The Ravens have had some very good pass rushers over the years, but eclipsed the likes of what Boulware, Michael McCrary, Terrell Suggs, Trevor Pryce or any other Raven was able to do in just a single season.
With three games left, “Doom” has plenty of time to add to it. He still needs 1.5 more sacks to set a new career-high, as he had 17.0 sacks in 2009 as a member of the Denver Broncos.
Speaking of Denver – thanks for still using fax machines, Broncos!
