What a win!
What a team!
I don’t know that very many people saw this coming! I know for sure Cris Collinsworth wasn’t ready for it…
Cris had the storylines written for this game before the opening kick off. He already wrote in James Harrison for the same performance he put up against the Ravens earlier this year in Pittsburgh. And he had Ben Roethlisberger throwing another 6 touchdown passes on a battered Ravens secondary.
Easy storylines right?
Yeah, not even close!
What really happened was that Joe Flacco was the better quarterback, the Ravens had the better O-line and the secondary bent but didn’t break. Most importantly the Ravens pass rush outplayed an improved Steelers offensive line.
After rewatching this game, it was much more comfortable then it felt like when watching it live.
Collinsworth doesn’t do a great job adjusting to in-game developments. He hammered the Le’Veon Bell story into the ground! Then kept on trying to hammer it…
The lanky former Bengal only provided a slight mention of Jimmy Smith’s absence while a breakout defensive lineman (Timmy Jernigan) was in street clothes.
He did make it very known that the Ravens were starting two rookie offensive lineman, but that was just to drive home the love fest for James Harrison. And for all that hype the real deal James Harrison had 2 total tackles.
And can we just put it out there…
Every time Collinsworth covers a game with Roethlisberger you get that weird shot of Big Ben’s hand and Collinsworth starts talking about how big it is.
Why?!
You can’t just say the guy has big hands!!!
Stop it!
I feel bad for Al Michaels, having to deal with that guy every week in the box.
And I also feel bad for Ravens fans because we have to deal with Collinsworth again this week.
What will we talk about this week Cris?
Brady’s big feet and those fugly Uggs?
