I would imagine at this very moment someone within the Ravens organization is conferring with lawyers and the Player’s Association to make sure they cross all “t’s” and dot all “I’s” regarding the release of Bernard Pierce.
Pierce has never been known as a player dedicated to his craft in his preparation or conditioning. Some have whispered that the circles within which he travels are a bit sketchy.
Early this morning he became the third Raven to be arrested this offseason and the 8th in the last 13 months. The Po-Po came after Pierce for a DUI after traveling 55 mph in a 30 mph zone.
If only he could accelerate through holes carved out by his offensive line the same way.
Now here’s a player who would have started training camp third on the depth chart – at best; has been in steady decline since his rookie season and provides absolutely ZIP in terms of special teams contributions.
On the heels of the Ray Rice drama and the off-field embarrassments from 2014, does this sound like a guy owner Steve Bisciotti wants to keep around?
Bernard Pierce, I’ve got 3 words for you and it’s advice you should have taken last night…
CALL A CAB!
