I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti over the last several years. He’s incredibly forthcoming and brutally honest.

When asked pointed questions, he doesn’t flinch. He doesn’t seem to care about company secrets. He respects his audience and his answers are direct.

Late this summer and into the fall, Bisciotti’s public persona took a hit. Many labeled him a snake oil salesman – and worse.

And while he fell on the sword and admitted the team’s mistakes in handling the Ray Rice situation, skeptics poured on their disdain and demanded more.

It seemed the more candid the Ravens owner was, the more skeptical the cynics grew.

But in a style that has become so Raven-esque, one that encourages a look at the big picture, weathering storms, and not sacrificing short-term gain for long-term winning, the team and its owner stayed the course and stayed true to who they are.

On Wednesday evening for one solid hour, Bisciotti fielded questions from PSL owners, answered honestly, thoroughly and ducked nothing.

If are a Ravens fan and you were listening you know this to be true – Ravens Nations is fortunate and should be proud to have one Stephen J. Bisciotti guiding an NFL organization that from top to bottom is second to none.
