Twitter can be tough sometimes. With the pressure to get things out quickly on social media, sometimes obvious things fall through the cracks.
Sometimes, however, you let those things fall through the cracks and still don’t fix them. Such is the case with a promotional tweet for the kickoff of the NFL season on Thursday, September 10th, which is a mere eight days away.
8 days until @steelers vs. @Patriots for #NFLKickoff!! pic.twitter.com/4M2HM49Ot6

Apparently, the official Sunday Night Football account still doesn’t see the problem with posting a picture saying that there are eight days left until #NFLKickoff featuring Le’Veon Bell, who will be suspended for the opener. This tweet was posted just before 10:00 this morning, which was over four hours ago as I write this.
My only guess is that they have already decided that it was too late when they sent it to fix it.
Of course, Twitter reacted in the way it always does.
Should we tell them? https://t.co/JVUObRUYjo

@fanubo @SNFonNBC @steelers @Patriots should have used this picture if we're talking about suspended players pic.twitter.com/3yvw1KMlyU

Next time, SNF, maybe you should try to promote players who will actually, you know, play in the game you’re trying to promote.
