Ravens Fan Sues Steelers for a TD

Reading Time: 2 minutes

No, this motion from a fan suing for a Ravens TD isn’t real. ELO rating says the Ravens are in a bit of trouble. We get insight into the life of the woman behind Joe Flacco. Will Hill is mic’d up and we get to listen in on the sideline discussion following Gillmore’s TD. Finally, we look at an infographic on the stadium experience.

Plaintiff’s Motion for Touchdown

A fan who guys by the name of /u/LawSoHardUniversity filed this motion, suing the Pittsburgh Steelers for a touchdown. Before you ask, NO, THIS IS NOT REAL. He sites a common law principle called futÅ«tor stelarium (should be futue/futuite ferrarios, according to a Reddit commenter – use a translator if you want to figure out what it means, but be prepared for foul language), that states that the touchdown should be granted between 8:25 and 11:25 PM on Thursday, when the Ravens play the Steelers.

Dana Flacco manages home team of little Ravens

Joe’s wife, Dana Flacco could be called a “game manager” herself – she manages a home team of little Flaccos. In this article from Allison Eatough of Chesapeake Family, she seems very similar to Joe. As a stay-at-home mom with three kids, Dana refuses to decorate the house, saying that it will get messed up anyway. Dana also came from a large family with three siblings, and both she and Joe wanted the same for their kids, even if it is more than a handful when they are young.

The Eagles and Ravens Are Screwed

Despite the sensationalist headline, the folks over at Five Thirty Eight do a pretty good job of laying out the chances of all the 0-2 teams of making the playoffs. Reuben Fischer-Baum and Chadwick Matlin break down each team’s playoff chances based on their “ELO” ratings. The Seahawks have better than a 50% chance still, but things don’t look as good for the Ravens.

Will Hill Mic’d Up vs. Raiders

Will Hill got the defense hyped up before the game. Unfortunately, his message didn’t seem to resonate with his unit once the game started. John Harbaugh asks Hill whether he is the best safety in football. His response is, “yes, sir!” The episode also includes the players talking about the deception on this play:

Game preview: 5 keys & prediction for Bengals-Ravens

Clifton Brown of CSN Mid-Atlantic discusses the biggest keys to the game on Sunday. “Which defense will show up?” is his first question. That is important. My bet is on the one that showed up Week 1. His next question is, “which quarterback will play better?” It’s an intriguing question; neither quarterback has played particularly well against the other’s defense. Other questions involve the Ravens’ front-seven and the offense’s ability to convert drives into touchdowns.
