It’s hard to forget that the Ravens are (0-3). Even if we tried we would all have to hibernate because the local and national media are just beating that nauseating fact over our heads.

Such is the life of a winless team falling well short of expectations.

This week the Ravens travel to Pittsburgh to take on their archrival Steelers. Surely the fans there will come to Heinz Field equipped with homemade posters laced with misspelled words (they really can’t help it…completing middle school is the equivalent of an MBA in the home of ARN City Light).

But I digress…

Before the severity of Ben Roethlisberger’s injury was known the Ravens were 3 ½ point underdogs tonight against Mike Tomlin’s (2-1) squad. With Michael Vick behind center the Ravens are now 2 ½ point road favorites.

As bad as the Ravens have been during crunch time and as dangerous as the speedy Steelers are even without Roethlisberger, it seems unconscionable that the Ravens would be favored. Perhaps that’s an indictment of Vick.

There’s a reason he’s been an NFL gypsy as of late and the Ravens will force the speedy southpaw into costly mistakes, which will prove to be the difference in the game.

The Ravens will clamp down on Le’Veon Bell and hold him under 75 yards rushing. Antonio Brown will do as he always does and get his against the Ravens to the tune of 8 catches for 140 yards and a score. But it won’t be enough.

The Ravens will rediscover their rushing attack as Justin Forsett outgains Bell. Joe Flacco throws for 2 scores, 1 to rookie TE Maxx Williams and the other to Kyle Juszczyk on their way to a 24-23 victory. And this time around, the game clinching interception from Will Hill will not be offset by a terrible holding call.

And we’ll never again be so happy to be (1-3).
