The Ravens lose yet another close one, this time 15-13 in South Florida to the Dolphins. Our staff reacts…

What a horrific call against Daniel Brown to negate a TD…Ravens dominated in every statistical category except the two most important — turnovers and the scoreboard…it was fun to watch it rain on one side of the stadium…THE END.

There were a number of bad calls in this game, but somehow they seemed to go mostly against the Ravens including 2 key holds (on Mosley, then Upshaw) not called, a facemask not called in a perfect makeup spot for the worst call of the day, the OPI on Dan Brown.
The Ravens wasted one of the most 1-sided defensive performances in team history and the blame rests squarely on Matt Schaub. He avoided mistakes except for the 2 interceptions that cost the Ravens the game late in the first half. Aside from those 2 plays and the penalty on Brown, the Ravens literally played the game exactly as they would have hoped.

If there was any hope of Steve Smith, Sr. returning next year, it was dashed today with the play of Matt Schaub and Baltimore’s offensive line. Against a team like Miami, Baltimore, even in its current state, should’ve been able to win handily.
You only get so many opportunities to achieve your goal. When you waste those opportunities, you have no one to blame but yourself.
This season wasn’t likely to result in a playoff berth, but somehow, today, it became more disappointing.

What did you expect? Anything we get from this team is a bonus. This team is decimated. Just hope for the best each week. And no more calling Tucker “Legatron” since he can’t make kicks over 50.

Outside of the final score, the Ravens outplayed the Dolphins all day, and quite frankly, should have won.
Buck Allen and Terrance West played well again, as did the wide receivers. But ultimately – like the rest of the season – the team simply was not talented enough to win.

Another up and down day for the Ravens offense with Matt Schaub at the helm. Schaub took a beating all day long with zero pass protection despite Trestman calling 46 pass plays against the 32nd ranked Dolphins run defense.
Buck Allen was a lone bright spot on offense as the rookie rushed for 63 yards and added another 107 through the air and the Ravens lone touchdown. The defense held their own despite giving up one big play even with the lack of pressure on Tannehill.
The refs, well that’s another story for a different day…..

Another close game loss. I read on social media that “bad teams lose close games”. I disagree. Bad teams means poor coaching, terrible players and a bad front office. The Ravens are not a bad team. They just don’t have enough play makers to make the 1 or 2 plays needed to win a game. I thought Trestman called a decent game until the Ravens went down by two scores. He then went to a pass heavy offense in an attempt to even the score. Schaub isn’t built for that type of offense at this stage of his career.

What an ugly game
On a positive note Buck Allen looks like a star in the making. When is the last time you saw a running back with 12 receptions in a game?
The Ravens continue to be on the short end of the stick when it comes to poor officiating. All you can do is shake your head.
Schaub will be in the tub all week. How was he not removed in the second quarter for concussion protocol? I’m pretty sure when your head slams off the ground and you grab it in pain that’s a potential sign of a concussion?
