The Ravens are finally eliminated from playoff contention. Russell Wilson is on fire lately. Kelechi Osemele takes a try at left tackle. Jimmy Clausen may have started a short-term quarterback controversy. Fox puts up a brutal recap of the season thus far. Pete Carroll dances on lockers.
Ravens Officially Eliminated From Playoff Contention
It’s finally official, folks. This postseason won’t feature a Harbaugh-coached team for the first time since 2007 (includes brother Jim’s teams). Additionally, it is officially the first losing season of Harbaugh’s career. John Harbaugh called this loss the worst of the season. It’s hard to argue with that. Garrett Downing of Ravens media has the full story.
“He’s ballin'” — When Baltimore ran into the Russell Wilson buzz saw
Rich Dubroff of CSN Mid-Atlantic discusses how the Seahawks have been rolling lately. According to Doug Baldwin, Russell Wilson knows from Baldwin’s body language what route he is running. Which doesn’t exactly sound like a good thing to me if it shows up on tape, but it has resulted in quite a connection between the two recently. Baldwin has caught 8 of Wilson’s 16 touchdowns in the last three weeks.
Kelechi Osemele Auditioning To Be Ravens’ Long-Term Left Tackle
This was an interesting development from Sunday’s game – Kelechi Osemele played left tackle full time in lieu of James Hurst. Harbaugh called it a way to get, “the five best offensive linemen on the field,” which is more of an indictment of Hurst than anything. Ryan Mink discusses the possibility of Osemele playing on the perimeter of the offensive line moving forward. During Osemele’s time in Baltimore, he has been a much better guard than tackle.
Jimmy Clausen may have earned more playing time with Ravens
The Ravens like what they saw from Jimmy Clausen, according to Fox Sports, and it may have earned him some playing time in the coming weeks. Look out world! The Ravens have a short-term quarterback controversy on their hands for the first time since 2008. Ah, the memories.
Make this season end

Pete Carroll runs around on top of lockers
With all the energy of a 6-year-old who has been out shopping with his mom for too long, Pete Carroll runs across the top of the M&T visitors’ lockers.
