If you’re like me, then you’re in the championship game in both of your leagues, but your team still has question marks because of injuries. Managing your roster this week will be crucial, especially with the dearth of talent at the running back position. Let’s look to see what the fantasy experts are saying…
Week 15 NFL Advanced Analytics Superstars
The advanced analytics superstars this week are pretty much exactly who you would think they’d be…except at quarterback. No, the passing superstar of the week wasn’t Cam Newton; it was Kirk Cousins. He ended the game with a 26.52 Net Expected Points. At the other positions they are all choices you would expect: David Johnson, Antonio Brown, and Antonio Gates. Tyler Buecher of numberFire has the explanation for each winner.
Defense Wins Championships, 2015 Edition Week 16
A Reddit user who goes by the name of dtlerch put together his tiers for Week 16 for fantasy championships. At the very top are the Kansas City Chiefs, who are coming off of a game that may have put you in the championship. A few of the streamable options behind them include Detroit (vs. 49ers) and Tennessee (vs. Texans). Those sound pretty enticing to me, particularly Tennessee if Brian Hoyer sits out another week.
15 Fantasy Football Transactions for Week 16
JJ Zachariason of numberFire is here with his weekly transactions column. This week, it is all players you should add; trading and dropping aren’t going to help you at this point. Some of the players he suggests you add are replacements for injured players – like Karlos Williams, Mike Gillislie, and Cameron Artis-Payne – but others have value even though the traditional starter is healthy, like Bilal Powell.
NFL Quick Hits: Replacing OBJ in fantasy championship game
Fox Sports writer, John Halpin cares about how Odell Beckham‘s absence affects your fantasy team, unlike many in the media. His first suggestion, Tyler Lockett, is one for whom I clamored last week. The dude is a stud, who is leading the league in Net Expected Points per Target among receivers with at least 50 targets. With the emergence of the Seattle passing offense, I’d expect him to continue to get opportunities. He won’t replace ODB (Beckham’s proper three letter nickname), but he’ll come close.
Fantasy Football Tight End Streaming: Week 16 Edition
We stream quarterbacks because there are so many good options on a weekly basis. We stream tight ends because there are so few good options on a weekly basis, and there aren’t very many who are worth owning throughout the season. Jordon Hoover of numberFire has three options: Zach Miller, Eric Ebron, and Austin Sefarian-Jenkins.
Answering burning question for fantasy championship
Scott Engel of The New York Post has some universal advice for those competing in their fantasy championships. His best advice is to play your best players; don’t concern yourself too much with their matchups (i.e. Julio Jones vs. Carolina and Josh Norman).
