Last night in the Bengals-Steelers playoff game, a dirty hit by Cincinnati’s Vontaze Burfict in the final minute was one of just many bullet points in the Bengals’ epic meltdown. Burfict hit Antonio Brown in the head, and the receiver was prone on the field for several minutes.
That hit, along with Jeremy Hill’s untimely fumble and some other silly penalties, (of course) handed the Steelers yet another playoff game they had no business winning. I hate the Steelers as much as anybody, but honestly, it’s hard to be too upset that a group of cheap-shot artists like Burfict (who has also been known to twist some ankles) aren’t moving on. I feel for Marvin, but that’s about it.
Need some more evidence that Burfict is a dirt bag? Ravens center John Urschel took to Twitter to provide Exhibit B, a play he apparently noticed during the team’s Week 17 game in Cincy:
People who think Burfict's hit on Antonio Brown is bad need to look at his hit on Maxx Williams last week. https://t.co/05ZOQtzKaB
