This week in how stupid NFL fans can be, a Broncos fan commits a vile act against a Patriots fan and Seahawks fans want to ban Cam Newton from their stadium. In other news, the Senior Bowl and Pro Football Focus form a partnership, an event attended by many of the Ravens’ draftees in recent history. The polarization surrounding Cam Newton is confusing. Future Dr. John Urschel begins his journey for the prefix.
Broncos Fan Kicked Over Porta Potty While Patriots Fan Was Inside
Very few people dislike Patriots fans as much as me, but this is beyond ridiculous. What is it about sports that removes the common decency of people?
WARNING: FOUL LANGUAGE

It isn’t the fault of sports, though. These people like this probably just use sports as a convenience to be complete scumbags. The person behind the camera and her friend in front of her are just as scummy as the person who tipped the porta potty over, too.
Ban Cam Newton From Century link field
It find it hilarious that anyone would think that this type of stupid petition could actually do anything. This comment takes the cake for best response:
“You couldn’t even keep Cam out of the end zone. How are you going to keep him out of an entire stadium??”
I bet Steelers fans wish they could ban Terrell Suggs from their stadium…
Senior Bowl, PFF Form Partnership
Interesting news from Pro Football Focus, the popular analytics website whose mission used to be mostly about consumer data. Recently, they’ve started to take a bigger picture approach. Here is a blurb from the press release:
“Pro Football Focus (PFF) and the Reese’s Senior Bowl have formed a partnership for the next two games which will allow the Senior Bowl staff to obtain valuable scouting and statistical data on players coming out of college next year as it builds the 2017 game roster.”
Ravens Have Drafted Second Most Senior Bowl Players In League
According to Sarah Ellison of Ravens media, Baltimore has drafted 23 Senior Bowl attendees since 2010, including four players from last year’s class (Carl Davis, Za’Darius Smith, Nick Boyle, and Robert Myers), three of whom have worked out for the Ravens thus far. Other notable picks include Crockett Gillmore (2014), Brandon Williams, Ricky Wagner (2013), Kelechi Osemele (2012), and Pernell McPhee (2011).
Cam Newton’s celebrations should evoke childlike joy, not mind-boggling hatred
Kami Mattioli of Sporting News discusses the weird polarization that Cam Newton has created among fans. On one side, you have the traditionalist fans, who don’t like to watch Cam Newton have fun doing his job (or as they call it “showboating” and a “lack of leadership”). On the other hand, you have people like me who actually enjoy watching a talented athlete enjoy doing his job, and, by the way, bring a bunch of joy to kids by giving away all of his touchdowns to a child.
Okay, maybe my and Mattioli’s characterization of the Cam-haters isn’t fair. I can understand the dislike toward him based on the lower level of maturity he displayed earlier in his career, and you expect more from a quarterback. But he has grown since then, and he appears to be a leader now. It’s time to let go of that hate.

I think it’s safe to say that John Urschel’s life will be just fine after football…
