Kiper and McShay mock Ramsey to the Ravens. I’m convinced enough that I’ll eat a whole book if it does happen. Still, some aren’t convinced of the FSU DB’s hype. Tunsil isn’t a great fit for the Chargers, and the Jaguars could use some fallible logic to avoid picking him. Trump calls Brady great…while in Maryland. Finally, we take a close look at an edge rusher with great potential who could fall to the Ravens in the second round.

No, this isn’t February. Mel Kiper and Todd McShay mocked the first three rounds together on ESPN. In the first round, they mock Jalen Ramsey to the Ravens. There’s no way that all three of the teams drafting non-quarterbacks ahead of the Ravens pass on Ramsey. No way.
Not everyone buying hype on FSU D-back Ramsey
The Jalen Ramsey hype train is jam-packed. Some even mocked him first overall to the Titans when they had the pick. But not everyone is on board. According to Clifton Brown of CSN Mid-Atlantic, Louis Riddick of ESPN thinks fans should temper expectations. The smaller, quick, change-of-direction wide receivers are going to give him trouble at the NFL level,” Riddick said. “They gave him trouble in college and they’re going to give him trouble at the NFL level.”
Laremy Tunsil a messy fit for Chargers at 3
A lot of mock drafts have the Chargers going with Laremy Tunsil with their 3rd overall pick. As Michael Gehlken of The San Diego Union-Tribune explains, he wouldn’t be a great fit. Both of their tackles have four years remaining on their contracts. A defensive player, on the other hand, would be able to make an immediate impact. Which is half the reason I’ve hounded that Tunsil is very well in play for Baltimore.
The Jaguars should not draft Laremy Tunsil
This is the other half of the reason I expect Tunsil to tumble to the Ravens. This Jags fan, HankJoness (that’s what it says his name is, so I’m rolling with it) of Big Cat Country doesn’t want his team to draft Tunsil. He follows the type of logic that keeps perennial bottom-feeders in the basement: Tunsil wouldn’t have won them any more games.
I’ve explained why that’s a logically fallible way of thinking before, but I’ll do it again. One player isn’t going to overhaul a team picking in the top 5 into a consistent winner. That isn’t happening. You have to pick the best player with every pick and get solid players at all levels of your team to compete in this league. It won’t happen just with a top 5 selection.
Trump booed at Maryland rally after calling Tom Brady ‘great’
Any person who is running for president should know better than to praise Tom Brady in Ravens country. Next, he’ll tell us why he loves Hines Ward. Then maybe David Ortiz and Paul Tagliabue or Bob Irsay. Eric Garland of CSN Mid-Atlantic gives the full story on what not to do in front of a crowd of Ravens fans.
RSP Film Room No. 77: Edge Defender Kamalei Correa
The RSP Film Room is not for everyone. This time, Matt Waldman sits down with our friend, Kyle Crabbs to break down some Correa tape. The Boise State edge rusher is climbing up draft boards. When we spoke with Kyle, he said Correa would be a home run of a pick if he fell to the Ravens in the second round. Our buddy Phil Gentile of Charm City Sports Network is also a fan.
And in baseball news…
Word on the Street: O’s Cruising, and Gausman Should Give a Boost
If the Orioles’ starting rotation continues down the same path it’s been down, the O’s could run into trouble. Phil Backert of Eutaw Street Report expects Kevin Gausman to be the boost that the Orioles need when he comes back. If he can improve upon last year, it would be a huge boon for the Birds.
