The Ravens grab OT Alex Lewis of Nebraska, DT Willie Henry of Michigan, and RB Kenneth Dixon of Louisiana Tech at the end of the fourth round. The RSR writers react to the three picks.

My favorite pick of the three is, of course, the running back. Kenneth Dixon was Pro Football Focus’ second ranked running back. With both Devontae Booker and Kenneth Dixon on the board, they opt for the one who is better in the passing game. Dixon has the ability to split out wide. With the number of deep threats this team now has, he should have some room in the short areas of the field. Hopefully, he can take advantage of it like we used to see with Ray Rice.

As for Alex Lewis, he was a second-team all-Big 10 player, and the Ravens badly need tackle depth. Monroe might as well not even be on the roster anymore with the things he’s said and done, so that leaves just James Hurst and Ryan Jensen behind Stanley at left tackle. I shudder to think of what that would mean for Flacco.

I’m sure with Willie Henry Harbaugh received some input from his brother.

Solid haul, guys. Well done.

OT Alex Lewis, Nebraska

Adding Lewis gives the Ravens more depth along the offensive line. He has tackle experience but could be moved around. He’s a highly coachable player who was 2015 Team Captain at Nebraska. Nice addition.

DT Willie Henry, Michigan

From one Harbaugh to another, Henry brings with him a aggressive mentality to the Ravens defensive front. Henry plays multiple positions including nose, 3 technique and 5 technique. Great move for Ravens to add more youth to an already aggressive dline.

RB Kenneth Dixon, Louisiana Tech

Dixon could be a match-up nightmare for opposing defenses who was a steal for the Ravens at pick 134. A weapon to the offense, Dixon provides the Ravens with a strong handed back with solid running back skills. The addition of Dixon gives the organization it’s third, fourth round running back in last three years..

With the selection of Alex Lewis, the Ravens add some quality depth along their offensive line. They’re probably thinking ahead considering Ricky Wagner will be a free agent after this season.

Willie Henry and Kenneth Dixon both had 3rd round grades so the Ravens get good value with both picks. The running back group is jam-packed. The Ravens know their offense is most productive when the run game is clicking. The competition will be fierce. As Harbaugh likes to say, iron sharpens iron.

I like all 3 of these picks.

Lewis brings a body that can fill in in the “unlikely” event of injury at tackle, but should also compete at LG.

Willie Henry is part of a very deep DT class and the Ravens got a piece. He had the 7th-highest pass rush productivity of all interior DL in 2015 (per PFF). The leader was Kaufusi. The Ravens now have an impressive arsenal of rush options on passing downs.

Kenneth Dixon is a 3rd down back that is an elusive receiver and also a battle-tested pass blocker (142 snaps as a pass blocker in 2015). Great value at the end of round 4.
