Will Ravens color rush be purple? Yanda is the top ranked guard and the only Raven to make the NFL Top 100. Way-too-early predictions for the Ravens’ final roster. The mental part of recovery might be the toughest for Flacco. In baseball news, Gausman is relying too heavily on his fastball.

Another NFL color rush leak?

You likely remember the leaked Ravens color rush jerseys. You know, the alleged Maryland flag-themed ones.

Those rumors were unfortunately put to bed by the team. So sad.

The actual alleged design was posted by the NFL Leaks Twitter page. It looks like it will be just plain old boring purple (uniforms are subject to change, as read at the top of the image).

Yawn. I would love to see some incorporation of our state flag. Can we subject this design to change? They’re just going to look like the Vikings.

One certainty for Ravens is Marshal Yanda anchoring offensive line

Yanda made the NFL Top 100 list at 37. That might be underrating him, but it still shows how highly players respect him. Not many offensive linemen make the top 50.

Marshal makes the list as the highest-ranked guard, and with good reason. He is the stalwart of the offensive line for the Ravens and the team’s best player. As Clifton Brown of CSN Mid-Atlantic explains, he doesn’t show any signs of slowing down, either.

Late For Work 6/22: Really? Just One Raven On NFL’s Top 100?

It looks like there will be just one Raven on the NFL Top 100 this year. Ryan Mink of Ravens Media is surprised, but I’m not at all. I can’t think of a player who actually deserves it. C.J. Mosley earned his spot in 2014, but he regressed in pass coverage in 2015. He doesn’t deserve it. Dumervil had a pretty good season last year playing both the run and pass, but he didn’t put up the numbers that would put him on the list. Very few would argue that anyone other than those two deserve to make the list…unless you’re wearing purple-colored glasses.

This list is repetitive and boring anyway.

Joey P’s Way-Too-Early Ravens Roster Projection

Forecasting the final 53-man roster is a fickle beast this time of year. Every season except for last, the Ravens have added an undrafted free agent to the opening day roster. Given that, Press Box writer Joe Platania’s projection for the final roster is probably missing a few pieces. Still, I’d agree with most of it given the information we have now.

Flacco: Mental hurdle toughest part of ACL recovery

Kevin Patra of NFL Media isn’t sure why the national media isn’t talking about Joe Flacco’s recovery from knee surgery all that much. It’s a key player for a team that is usually contending.

The most difficult part of the return will be the mental part, according to Flacco. Joe says it may be different the first few times he gets hit when he drops back. That type of admission of his mortality surprised Patra, but it doesn’t surprise anyone here. Flacco has been honest with the media throughout his career. That’s part of the reason we love him!

In baseball news…

The Rundown: Kevin Gausman Relying Too Heavily on His Fastball

Phil Backert talks about the return of Kevin Gausman’s big problem – throwing too many fastballs. His off-speed and breaking stuff just isn’t working the way it was in the beginning of the year. To make up for that, he’s been trying to blow away hitters. Not gonna happen. Phil also discusses how O’Day’s absence is affecting the bullpen (take last night, for example) and Bundy’s chances of entering the starting rotation.
