Peter King’s thoughts on Stanley & Perriman. Matt Judon looks ready to contribute. A couple injured tight ends should be back soon. PFF grades Saturday night’s game. The Saints won’t treat Thursday like a typical preseason finale.
Monday Morning Quarterback Ravens Musings
Peter King’s weekly whale of a column has some thoughts on Ronnie Stanley and Breshad Perriman. I’d recommend just using your browser’s search function and inputting those names, but I’ll try to help anyway: Stanley is mentioned in “The men of summer” about 30% of the way down the column, and Perriman is item 7.f under “10 things I think I think” (about 3/4 of the way down the page).
Matt Judon Looks Like Rookie Who Will Help Ravens Pass Rush Most
CSN Mid-Atlantic’s Clifton Brown, who covers the Ravens, says that the rookie out of Grand Valley State, not the high-motor one from Boise State, will have the biggest impact on the pass rush in 2016.
The Ravens’ suddenly-thin tight end group should get a boost shortly, as both Dennis Pitta & Maxx Williams are expected back at least in time for Week 1.
Pro Football Focus Grades Detroit-Baltimore
PFF’s Michael Renner compiles the grades from Saturday’s action at M&T Bank Stadium. Highlights include Joe Flacco getting the ball out much more quickly than we’re used to seeing, and Ronnie Stanley continuing his superb summer.
Saints Plan to Start Drew Brees Thursday
New Orleans head coach Sean Payton expects to play his starters for a bit in the preseason finale Thursday night. That should be fun for them, I suppose, and will present a nice opportunity for the Ravens’ backups & bubble guys to go up against NFL first-teamers.
