Critics of John Harbaugh often ask me, given my on-the-field criticisms of his work, why I like the man so much.

I’ll usually respond by saying that I admire his faith, his commitment to family, his patriotism and his heart. I’m not swayed by the flippant things he sometimes says to the media.

He’s just a good man in a tough business. It’s one that he’s chosen and he understands it can come with biting criticisms. Yet things like this always remind me why I root for John Harbaugh.
