Welcome to Russell Street Report’s “That’s So Ravens” series, where we’re counting down the top-10 face-palming, gut-wrenching, eye-rolling moments of the 2017 Ravens season. Join us in reliving the misery, won’t you?

Here’s a quick recap of our top-10 to date:

10- Chris Moore’s Double-Tip-Pick-6

Yeah, that’s it so far. But fret not! This week we bring you our #9 moment of the 2017 season and while it feels wrong to beat up on Chris Moore once again… we’re going to anyway.

LEARN TO CATCH THE BALL AND STOP LOOKING FOR CONTACT BEFORE COMPLETING THE CATCH AND MAYBE WE WON’T HAVE THIS ISSUE!!

#9- More Moore Tip Drills

Setting the scene: Back in Week 6 of the regular season, the Chicago Bears came to town, with rookie QB Mitch Trubisky ready to make his first career NFL road start against a Baltimore team that was notorious for handling rookie signal callers at M&T Bank Stadium…

*cannot stress “was” enough in that sentence*

With 5 minutes & change left in the game, and the Ravens down 17-13, Baltimore’s offense was marching downfield, with the ball at the Chicago 31.

2nd & 10

And then…

Flacco drops back, rolls right, throws downfield to the 15 where the ball hits a combination of Bears CB Will Fuller‘s hand, and Ravens WR Chris Moore’s chest, then promptly pops straight back to Bears safety Adrian Amos, who returns it 90 yards for a touchdown.

I still cannot fathom how this turns into a pick at all, let alone a pick-6!

What makes it worse?

Moore actually had phenomenal pursuit in chasing down Amos, and was a split second from catching up with him… until some blurry Raven tried one of those lazy “throw my body at your feet to knock you down” tackles, only to instead take out Moore, end his pursuit, and literally nobody else stood a shot at catching Amos.

WAIT.

A different angle shows our fearless leader in the frame…

PLEASE don’t tell me it was…

Yup. Joe Flacco‘s dive-tackle-sweep-the-leg move inadvertently took out Moore, just in time for Amos to escape and scamper the rest of the way to pay dirt, extending the Bears’ lead to 24-13.

Of course the Ravens would come back to tie it up prior to overtime, but unlike the NHL, a overtime loss awards you no points at all. So yanno… they lost.

Some may blame Moore for trying to catch with his body and not his hands, while others will simply say Fuller made a great play on the ball. But there’s one thing we know for sure:

THAT’S SO RAVENS.
