The Heil Family Story Comes Full Circle
It’s that time of year – the Holiday Season. It’s a special time, one during which many of us share from the heart and reflect upon the blessings that touch our lives. Last night I received another blessing – that of a new friend.
I “met” Tim Heil via Twitter on November 18, 2019. His story which you can read here, tugs at the heartstrings. I can remember reading it to my wife and I couldn’t even finish it without my lip trembling from emotion.
The story inspired me to take action. Could I rally support from friends, family and business associates to bring Tim and his son TJ to Baltimore for a Ravens game?
With the help of Veronica Lombardi and Cara DiPietro from the Fairfield Inn White Marsh, Brian Snyder from Bmore Around Town, Kevin Byrne and Baker Koppelman from the Ravens, Brooks Walter and Matt Rollinger from The Greene Turtle and Ticket IQ, we were able to bring this wonderful father and son to Baltimore for Lamar Jackson’s record-setting performance last night.
So, now the aforementioned story has come full circle, expressed brilliantly in the video below by Erin MacPherson and Jamie Costello of ABC 2.
I couldn’t be prouder of those who helped to make this all happen. A son’s demons have been exorcised and another son’s future as an NFL fan has been enabled.
And what a perfect time of year for this all to come to fruition.
