The Baltimore Ravens beat the Tennessee Titans, 20-13, in the Wild Card playoff of 2020-21. RSR staff react to the win here.

Can’t play from behind. Can’t win a playoff game. Put it all to bed, Lamar!
How about this defense’s performance against Derrick Henry? Think Calais & Brandon don’t make a difference? And Pernell McPhee, man…dude found the fountain of youth!
There are some things to nitpick (the clock management to end the first half particularly), but the Ravens put some narratives to rest today, scoring 17 unanswered, and outscoring the Titans 20-3 after going down 10-0 early. Let’s celebrate this one, and watch the late game to see whether or not we are going to Kansas City or Buffalo.
A final note: Marquise Brown stepped up in a big way today as well. Let’s not overlook his game.

I’m beyond proud of this team for that hard fought win. The Ravens defense held Derrick Henry (40 yards, 2.2ypc) to totals he hasn’t seen since the start of the 2019 season, which was a huge reason they were able to stifle a Titans offense that’s scored 30+ in seven of their past eight games.
Offensively, of course you want more; however, the way the Ravens settled down after a rough start, and were able to maintain lengthy drives when it mattered most – including the Lamar Jackson and Gus Edwards first downs to seal the victory – was beyond impressive. That facet of their game was exactly what they lacked in their past 2 playoff appearances. Great team win and I’m glad Lamar Jackson can shake off those asinine narratives.
Now let’s shift focus to the Bills or Chiefs and keep the momentum going!

The monkey is off the back! Baltimore came in and despite being down early, pretty much imposed their will on Tennessee.
— The defense’s performance today was nothing short of special. Derrick Henry is an absolute animal, and to completely take him out of the game is near-impossible. Incredible game by Wink’s unit.
— Lamar Jackson didn’t have his best game throwing the ball, which unfortunately may still lead to criticism, but it shouldn’t. He managed the game – and the comeback – beautifully. He was electric today.
— Have to give huge props to Hollywood Brown. He caught everything, was explosive after the catch, and was one of the biggest reasons the Ravens were able to win today. Great game and one to keep building on.

Lamar can’t do this or that blah blah blah…..Stop it!!! Two playoff losses hardly define a player. The game was closer in score than I thought it would be but the Ravens were in control from the second quarter on. The monkey is off of Lamar’s back now the pressure is off. No matter who the Ravens face next week it is going to be tough.
I can guarantee the Bills and Chiefs are both hoping they don’t face the Ravens though.

I. Love. Lamar Jackson. Thank the good lord, the Ravens are playoff winners once again. Lamar aside from the “dumbass” interception was solid all game. The defense contained Derrick Henry all game and the secondary was solid all game aside from the opening drive. Bring me Buffalo or Kansas City.

We don’t have to hear about how Lamar Jackson can’t win a playoff game anymore, which is what we all wanted. He overcame some early mistakes to make plays when he needed to. His connection with Marquise Brown was better than ever while making some big time throws to Mark Andrews as well.
What a day from the defensive line, too, holding Derrick Henry to just 40 yards rushing. Marcus Peters came up with the big interception, and don’t let anyone tell you the 15-yard penalty wasn’t worth it.
Lamar gets not only his first playoff win, but his first win when trailing by 10. He crushed all the narratives today.
