Super Bowl LV Features the Best Young QB and the Best QB of All-Time
The Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event of the year. More people watch the Super Bowl than any other program in the United States each year and now it’s become a worldwide phenomenon as we’ve been told by our friends at Betway that is watched by people who enjoy the spectacle of the event and the excitement of the competition.
This year, we’ll be treated to a special matchup in Super Bowl LV: the best young quarterback in the NFL, Patrick Mahomes, goes up against the Greatest of All-Time (GOAT), Tom Brady.
Brady has done it all in the NFL. He has won six Super Bowls, more than any other player in NFL history and is shooting for a seventh. His first six came with the New England Patriots. After the 2019 season, Brady left New England and signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as a free agent. Now he has led the Bucs to the Super Bowl in his first season as their quarterback.
There is no doubt that the former University of Michigan Wolverine has accomplished so much in his NFL career. He has earned Pro Bowl honors 14 times thus far and has been named the league MVP three times and the Super Bowl MVP a record four times.
Brady has accomplished all this without having the most physical gifts. He is not the tallest quarterback and he doesn’t have the strongest arm. Brady isn’t too fast and he’s not a threat to run the football if he’s pressured. Yet Brady’s outstanding ability to read defenses, his unmatched work ethic and his dedication to keeping himself in top shape even at the age of 43 have kept him near the top of the NFL’s list of quarterbacks over the past two decades.
This year, he is facing off against the best young signal caller in the NFL in Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes. The Texas Tech alum is only in his fourth season in the league and just his third as a starter, but he’s already won a league MVP and been named to the Pro Bowl three times. He also led the Chiefs to their first Super Bowl title in 50 years last season when they beat the 49ers last February.
Mahomes has all the physical tools scouts look for in a quarterback. He has a strong arm, he’s mobile and he can complete almost any throw. Like Brett Favre, Mahomes isn’t afraid to make unorthodox passes that other quarterbacks wouldn’t even think of trying. Mahomes doesn’t just attempt them, he makes them into big plays.
This year, Mahomes is looking to lead a team to back-to-back Super Bowl titles, something that hasn’t happened in 15 years. Like Brady, Mahomes is considered an excellent leader who brings out the best in his teammates. Mahomes comes across as more of a fun-loving and enthusiastic leader while Brady appears to be more serious and a student of the game. Both Brady and Mahomes demand the best from their teammates and usually get it.
So, who will win this game between the wily veteran or the young gun? It should be an exciting matchup filled with interesting betting possibilities.
