Moses, 31, played his first seven seasons with Washington before playing 2021 with the Jets. He played in all 16 games from 2015-2020, and all 17 last year.

Okay, now I officially don't want to hear from #RavensFlock about the offense. Let's go! $5 mil APY is a really good price. https://t.co/MKaHyfnN16

When the news came through I was scrolling on my phone looking for any updates. A little while before that I was searching for any news on Morgan Moses. So yes I’m very happy with this signing. I actually wanted the Ravens to sign him last year. This should alleviate the need for the Ravens to feel forced to take an offensive lineman in the first round. As of now a corner seems very likely. DeCosta is hitting it out of the park today.

I said earlier in the offseason that I felt the Ravens needed to add two offensive lineman, and EDC said the same thing.
I also wasn’t someone who wanted to see the Ravens draft a lineman early and now they don’t have to. They certainly could but now the focus can be on defense.
Moses has started 16 games (17 in 2021) for seven straight years. He is durable, a solid starter and signed a very cheap deal all things considered.
Great move by EDC. I’m sure I’m forgetting something but today feels like the best FA day the Ravens have had in a long time.

EDC was quiet yesterday. Quiet enough that our Out to Lunch article today was about Ravens Twitter throwing themselves off a cliff, collectively. On Day 2, he began to weave what we hope will be a masterpiece offseason when it’s all said and done. Moses is extremely durable, having played in every game for the last seven seasons. DeCosta is ticking “needs” off the list headed into the draft, and even tossing comp picks to the wayside, in a pivot that many of us didn’t expect. If Za’Darius Smith comes into the fold this week, the draft will truly be EDC’s oyster.

I’ll start this one on a personal note: I’ve met a LOT of football players, and Morgan Moses still stands out to me as maybe the largest one I’ve ever met. The beard doesn’t do much to reduce the size of his profile, but he is a colossus.
I’m so, so happy we got him for that price. $5 million AAV for Moses is absolute theft to the rest of the league, and it explains why EDC wasn’t jumping on another newly-released tackle.
For those unfamiliar, I don’t believe Moses took a holding penalty all of last season, and if the numbers are correct, he’s allowed four sacks in his last thousand snaps. I’m HYPED.

The Ravens just added a right tackle(!) who has started every game(!!) of the last seven seasons(!!!). This is an ideal replacement for Alejandro Villanueva after his retirement, as Moses can be trusted as a starting right tackle heading into 2022. If Ja’Wuan James doesn’t get to where he needs to health-wise, or just doesn’t look good enough after not playing for almost three full seasons, the Ravens won’t need to rely on Patrick Mekari, a rookie or a practice squad vet. Three years for $15 million is solid value for a 31-year-old tackle who should be able to start, and this means we don’t have to be ringing the alarm bells if we don’t walk out of the draft with a good OT prospect. I still think we will, though.
