Wake up Flockers, it’s Monday! Wipe the sleep out of your eyes, handle your morning business, and get that coffee brewing because we’ve got some interesting things to discuss. For starters, how about this little gem?
All-Pro free agent linebacker Bobby Wagner visited the Baltimore Ravens today, per source. Ravens have high interest in Wagner, who also visited the Rams this week.

After watching AFC teams like Las Vegas and Miami get markedly better over the last week while the Ravens had been relatively quiet since signing Marcus Williams and Morgan Moses (and bringing back some familiar names), it appears as if there may be one more big fish on Eric DeCosta’s line. On the surface, some might say that going “all in” on an older middle linebacker is foolish given the holes elsewhere on the depth chart, and to those people I reference the figures below. The linebacker room is in dire need of an upgrade and a leader, and Wagner would be a substantial asset for this defense both on the field and off. Here’s hoping he’s the next in a storied lineage of middle linebackers in Baltimore!

An interesting situation to monitor is that of former Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu, who for all intents and purposes seems content playing the field a little while longer and waiting for the perfect situation to arise.

It’s certainly not a surprise that Mathieu has numerous offers on the table. With all the other major free agent safeties already on new teams, you’d have to imagine those still in need of a game changer at the position would be willing to pay a premium for his services. It will be interesting to see if he chooses to extend this waiting period through the draft or not. On one hand, it could strengthen his market even more should the teams with offers on the table not address the position in the early rounds. On the flip side, with talented players like Kyle Hamilton, Daxton Hill and Jaquan Brisker leading a very solid safety class, he could also end up becoming less of a priority to those teams. Whatever he chooses, it’s safe to say that the Honey Badger still has a lot of good football left in him and will provide somebody with a true leader in the secondary.
Another social media development in recent days has been the cryptic Stefon Diggs tweets (that, in fairness, seem to be a staple of elite wide receivers in football) followed by his brother openly campaigning for the two to pair together.

Hey Josh Allen, any chance we can get your comments on this potential move?
No.

It’s highly unlikely that we’d ever see Diggs moved with two years still left on his contract, but we also never thought we’d see Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill traded in the same 7-day span, so who knows in today’s NFL? One thing we do know for certain though, we’ve got to get our guy Marlon Humphrey a date ASAP so he can focus more on telling free agents to #ComeToTheRavens!
Man suppose to be recruiting he talking about speed dating🤦🏾♂️ https://t.co/u1V1B2foRV

To wrap up today’s edition of Out to Lunch, let’s take a look at the approach the fans would like the Ravens to take as we progress into the next portion of the offseason. With so many big names still available on the market, there’s likely to be a lot of different directions that the flock wouldn’t mind seeing the team go in, right? Surely that statement is something I couldn’t possibly be wrong about either!
I thought Wagner/Tretter would be more popular but man this is a blowout 😂 https://t.co/RzHvoWhSz8 pic.twitter.com/vGL2RY5NO4
