Another Wednesday down, Ravens Flock! There continues to be all sorts of clamoring with the Flock lately ranging from nostalgia to discussing breakout players for the 2022 season. All in all, the Flock remains very much alive on Twitter talking about its beloved Baltimore Ravens.

Let’s not waste anymore time and go Out to Lunch and see what the Flock is talking about lately in the Twitter-sphere!

We really can’t ever have enough love for Mark Andrews, can we? Especially coming off a historically dominant 2021 season, Ravens Flock has plenty of reason to celebrate their All-Pro tight end. Andrews is fresh off 107 receptions, 1,361 receiving yards and nine touchdowns during the 2021 season, all of which led tight ends, giving him a tight end triple crown, for what it’s worth. Those 1,361-yards were also good for third-most in a single season by a tight end in NFL history. Even crazier is this context here:

Considering Tyreek Hill and Stefon Diggs are arguably two of the five best wide receivers in the NFL, that’s a massive accomplishment for the man dubbed “MAndrews.” It’s not as though those two receivers are coming off down years, either, as they recorded 1,239 and 1,225 yards, respectively. For a tight end to put up those kind of numbers is mind-boggling by itself, but to place ahead of those two All-Pro receivers is truly special.

NBC’s Sunday Night Football Twitter account has officially started the conversation for Rashod Bateman entering year two of his young NFL career:

Bateman is going into 2022 as the Ravens’ top wide receiver after being a first-round selection in last year’s draft. There are significantly high expectations for Bateman this season considering Baltimore has enough belief in him to be the go-to option after trading away Marquise Brown coming off a 1,000-yard campaign.

What do you guys believe Bateman can do in 2022? Can he be a 1,000-yard receiver? The jury is out, but we are no doubt excited to see what the 22-year-old receiver can do this year.

On the topic of wide receivers, who is going to step up across from Bateman? Baltimore is thin in proven commodities at the position, but there are several young talents who could surprise, maybe none more so than third-year man Devin Duvernay:

Duvernay is coming off his first Pro Bowl and All-Pro season, but both were as a kick returner. No one will be questioning Duvernay’s big-play ability when the ball is in his hands and it’s nice to see that Duvernay is aware of the opportunity in front of him to potentially become a household name in the team’s passing attack.

For his money, RSR’s Darin McCann says you should keep an eye on Tylan Wallace.

Should the Baltimore Ravens be making moves at the wide receiver spot considering, as previously mentioned, how thin the team is at the position? Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay believes exactly this as he pens Baltimore making a trade for Washington Commanders’ Pro Bowler Terry McLaurin:

It wouldn’t receive any backlash from the Flock considering his more than proven resume, but the cost wouldn’t be cheap. The conversation would likely start with a first-round choice for the 2023 NFL Draft and potentially even more. Baltimore would also likely want to keep him around long-term for an investment like that, and it certainly wouldn’t be a cheap deal. There are many moving parts in making a move for a player of McLaurin’s caliber, but it would absolutely be a blast to see him catching passes from Lamar Jackson in 2022.

There’s nothing more special than seeing your draft picks embrace your city and rookies throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at baseball games is a tradition I hope never dies. That’s what first-round safety Kyle Hamilton got to do yesterday for the Baltimore Orioles:

Additionally, Hamilton got to meet another stud Baltimore sports figure in the form of Orioles first baseman Trey Mancini:

Pretty cool sight to see and we have high hopes for both Baltimore sports figures!

We’ve been clamoring about this for what seems like years now, but we are once again asking the Baltimore Ravens to make these practice jerseys available for purchase or even a game day official uniform!

You can’t hardly blame the fans, as the black jerseys with purple numbering and lettering is clean looking. You can bet that I’d be spending some of my paycheck on a few of these jerseys if they ever became available!

That’s all I got for you guys today, Ravens Flock! Have a great rest of your week and I’ll see you next Wednesday!
