Happy Purple(ish) Friday, Flock. It’s our first Friday without any football at all to look forward to since back in September, and what a strange and frustrating trip it’s been.

There’s been plenty of dwelling on all that already, and a lot more to come I’m sure, as well as griping about what does or doesn’t happen with Lamar Jackson’s contract talks in the coming weeks to months. I’ll choose instead to have some fun today. Let’s see what’s poppin’.

The Pro Bowl Games kicked off last night, the NFL’s latest attempt to rekindle interest in their annual All-Star Festivities. Did you watch any of it? I’ll admit that I didn’t, but I did watch some of the highlights on Twitter.

One of the coolest things for the Flock was seeing The General of so many great Ravens defenses of the past, Ray Lewis, next to the guy we hope is taking up his mantle, Roquan Smith.

We all got our jokes about Tyler Huntley being in the Pro Bowl games out of the way earlier in the week, right? It’s a good thing, because Snoop came to PLAY.

This brought back memories of the last time a Ravens passer took part in Precision Passing at the Pro Bowl. That time around it went…a little differently.

If I don’t comment any further at all, I’ll be labeled a Lamar Hater by a segment of the Flock. If I defend Jackson here – noting that his play on the field is obviously head and shoulders above that of Huntley, and that throwing passes at target practice while wearing shorts and a bucket hat really says nothing about what a QB does between the white lines – I’ll be labled a Lamar Stan by the other segment.

So I’ll just keep quiet and let those above videos be a Flock Rorschach Test.

Moving on to dodgeball, where Marlon Humphrey helped his AFC defense squad move on (defeating Mark Andrews in the process) to take on the NFC.

Fruit Punch also took some swings in the long drive competition, and wasn’t bad!

Project Pat caught some punts, and I’m sure Ravens Twitter took it in stride, as they do any time he catches a football.

On Sunday, Justin Tucker will take place in something called Kick Tac Toe.

I haven’t checked DraftKings yet, but if you can lay any bread on Justin, it’s probably a good bet (though I’d expect the odds aren’t such that you’re gonna win a whole lot).

Enjoy the Pro Bowl Games – or whatever else you decide to do with your weekend, Flock!
