Well, #RavensFlock, it’s not-so-Purple Friday yet again. Another week gone by, another week of zero news on the Lamar Jackson contract, and still no word on an imminent offensive coordinator hire to replace Greg Roman.
For the latest on the latter, I recommend this week’s episode of The Deep Cover Podcast/End of the Bar. Some RSR alum (Michael Crawford & Carey Stevenson) are regular hosts of DCP, and another, Cole Jackson, joined those two,and Chris, for a deep dive on a number of the reported candidates to fill the position.

As Super Bowl week rolls on, last night was the NFL Honors Ceremony, which included the announcements of members of the 2023 NFL Hall of Fame class. There were no Baltimore Ravens on either list, but if you need to catch up, here you go:

The best part of the show was when Damar Hamlin of the Buffalo Bills took the stage.

Not a dry eye in the place.
Elsewhere during Super Bowl week, we got a nice clip from Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown when he was asked about the toughest defensive back he has faced.

“Annoying,” is a great way to describe Marlon, as anyone who follows him on Twitter can attest. Seriously though, that’s some high praise. I’ll be showing this clip to my Dad, the biggest Marlon hater I know.
Enjoy the Super Bowl, Flock. Let us know who you’re cheering for. On the one hand, most of us Baltimore-based Ravens fans know plenty of Eagles fans, who range from tolerable to completely insufferable. On the other, the Chiefs’ reign atop the AFC is getting quite a bit old, as they’ve hosted the last five AFC Championship games, winning three of them and one Super Bowl so far.
We need to know who the next Ravens OC will be so no rooting for the asteroid.
One Response
Joe Burrows has 1 SB appearance and 2 AFC Championship appearances in 3 seasons. Lamar has 1 playoff victory in 5 seasons. Never has even sniffed an AFC Championship game. I feel like we could get more out of the position by going in a different direction.
