The Annual Owners Meeting Taught Us About The Ravens and the NFL

This year, the NFL’s power players gathered at a luxurious Arizona oasis – the Biltmore Hotel – to talk shop and renew acquaintances. From team officials mingling with media outlets, this annual event serves as an insider playground where schmoozing is encouraged, and networking opportunities are plentiful.

Odell Beckham Jr. caused quite the buzz when he showed up to check out what teams had on offer! The free agent wide receiver, known for his flashy plays, came by a few teams, including Baltimore’s Ravens, in hopes that one of them could use his skill set – and we don’t blame them; OBJ is a top-notch talent.

On Monday morning, the NFL world was rocked by Lamar Jackson’s stunning request to be traded – and just moments later, word of it spread like wildfire. As coach John Harbaugh prepared for his roundtable with reporters from all 16 AFC teams, news of Lamar’s tweet had hit every corner, leading more media to flock into a frantic ballroom full of intrigue.

All eyes were on this unexpected twist in the narrative. Jim Harbaugh was unaware of the controversial tweet but took no time to tackle the questions head-on, answering an impressive 46 in total – 36 focused on Lamar Jackson.

It’s been a hectic start to the NFL off-season, with Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh both struggling to secure their respective quarterback situations. As for John Harbaugh and his Ravens team, all eyes are on them as we see how they handle Lamar Jackson-related matters. But one thing is clear: plenty of noteworthy developments have already occurred across the entire league.

Meanwhile, remember to keep up with all games and odds in the NFL – the Titan’s upcoming odds look great, and you can just be the next big winner.

Left Guard Competition

With last season’s standout left guard, Ben Powers, signing a big money deal with the Broncos and leaving Baltimore behind, the Ravens have an opening at that position. It looks like they’re ready to find their new guy – time for hopefuls to start sharpening up as another competition ensues.

Coach Harbaugh is confident that Pat Mekari will be a big contributor, and don’t forget about Ben Cleveland. John Simpson just signed on late last year, but he’s got the potential to surprise people. And, of course, there’s Daniel Faalele, who can always mix it up too.

It’s unclear who might emerge as a leader among this group, but Harbaugh is pointing to Simpson.

What the New Offense will Look Like

Under newly-appointed offensive coordinator Todd Monken, the Ravens are gearing up for a quicker tempo this season. Last year they had the third-highest number of delay-of-game penalties in the league, and Coach Harbaugh has already made it clear that he isn’t settling for the delays again! So be prepared; Baltimore is about to turn up its speed.

Harbaugh’s expectations of the offense are high. He believes they’ll be exciting and fun and run a mix of up-tempo, no-huddle plays. He’s looking forward to “living in different worlds” with this new style.

  1. Did they have anything to put out concerning any rules changes? Did they discuss the CBA? Did they say anything about DeShawn Watson getting a fully guaranteed deal? What are the owners discussing this time of year is what I’m asking. I know LJ threw shade at HC Harbaugh by doing his little tweet. LJ thought that by doing that all the owners would start throwing money at him and when that didn’t happen he starts getting upset. We know. I was more interested in the topics the owners were discussing. Any new revenue discussions for the league?
