Happy Hump Day, Flock! Filling in for Aidan for the next two Wednesdays while he enjoys a vacation in Hawaii. Must be nice!

Speaking of long flights…first things first: we got a bit of news early this morning regarding the Ravens’ 2023 schedule:

I know a lot of Ravens fans are bummed that the team is losing their trip to Nashville, a favorite destination for Flock travelers. In addition, we all have such wonderful memories of the team’s last trip overseas, that it was tough to not groan a bit when we saw this news. It’s not at Wembley this time around, so at least there’s that. Let’s hope for a much more representative game from our team this time around (and no uh…extracurriculars.)

Here’s one group that’s stoked about this news though: Our UK Flock!

The full schedule release is tomorrow night. One thing we do know for sure is that the Ravens travel…a LOT.

Next up, I’d like to direct your attention to this awesome video by All 22 on YouTube. This is a Ravens fan who gets as deep into the X’s and O’s as anyone out there, and this video in particular is well worth your time.

In it, he says that, under Todd Monken, the Ravens’ offensive philosophy hasn’t just done a 180 – that’s not enough. He says it’s done a 540. He describes how Monken’s offensive attacks defenses based on their personnel and how they line up. Doesn’t that sound like a wonderful change of approach? The video goes into just how different this is from what we saw for years from the Greg Roman offense.

Moving along, here’s a quick cap update from Brian McFarland:

Remember that you can get the most accurate picture of the Ravens’ current cap situation anywhere (the Ravens themselves have told us this) whenever you want to, right here

And finally, an offseason workout is going on in Owings Mills at the moment.

Doesn’t look like any pads or even helmets, but it’s exciting to see the NFL offseason moving along apace regardless.

Here’s hoping your Wednesday is a good one, Flock.
