With injuries on the OL, it’s very possible Patrick Mekari starts at LG and Roger Rosengarten gets his first start at RT. How do the Ravens stack up to this Bills DL?
We deep dive:
How to handle Bills’ pass rush? Run the ball often to open up the pass. This OL was supposed to be developed to be good as pass blocking. Surprise they’re not. Run the ball. With a strong pass rush team we need to run the ball to open up the pass.
As far as the matchups. I still would rather see Cleveland at RG. If Mekari has to start at LG and Rosengarten at RT then we may be better off in pass blocking.
If, I sure hope not, we decide to pass more it will be important to communicate, use 12 and have the TEs and RB help chip on the outsides. We’ll have to use more RPOs and short passes to get rid of the ball quickly.
With the OL we have I suspect we will be seeing more running for awhile. It’s a recipe for disaster to try to pass more than 50/50 with our current OL especially against the better pass rush teams.
The RAVENS will be a spanking from the Bills. Yes, they will be winning at points then BLOW it.
