Reading Time: 2 minutes

As a part of our coverage here at Russell Street Report, we’ll be featuring the best prospects all across the board in any situation the Ravens might come across. Whether it’s a receiver in the first round, a quarterback in the sixth, or a guard in the third, we’ll cover the Ravens best options in any scenario. Barring any trades, the team will pick in the middle of each round—so we’ll see who is available when the Ravens are projected to select their upcoming stars. This will make it easy for you the fan to look at what the Ravens are seeing in future NFL prospects.

If  the 4th round rolls around and the Ravens haven’t gobbled up a receiver, we might as well flip over to some baseball or something. Let’s be honest – Ozzie Newsome’s war room will have snatched up a receiver by now. Still, the opportunity is there to add more depth at the position. Some sleepers to watch…

Devin Street, Pittsburgh

This is my guy. Every year, every draft analyst has “that player” they feel special about. This year, for me, Street is that player.

Although overshadowed by an elite receiver class as a whole, Street is the most underrated guy in this class. Possessing a 6-3, 195lb frame, he needs to put on a little more weight to complete his overall Anquan Boldin-like prospect profile.

Street has toughness, very good hands, and the ability to become a very good possession receiver at the next level. He plays every snap the same—hard, physical, and focused.

It’s very rare that a receiver like Street is rated so low on many marquee scouts’ boards, but I attribute this to two things: lack of speed and competition. If Street had elite straight-line speed, (which is not necessary in any capacity) he would be given at-worst, a late Day Two grade. There’s nothing not to like here. He has everything you look for in a “possession pass-catcher” and has a family very experienced in athletics (his father played football and ran track at Kutztown University, and his uncle, Alvin Street, played football at Tennessee State).

You say the Ravens miss Anquan Boldin? They can pick up a younger version in the mid-rounds of the draft with Street.

Jalen Saunders, Oklahoma

You got bored with a receiver that lacks speed, didn’t you? Don’t fret… we have a speedster here that might be on the Ravens’ radar.

Saunders isn’t the biggest guy in this class, (5-9, 164lbs) but his production and the skill-set he showed off during his time with the Sooners makes him an attractive prospect to look at in the coming months.

Although lacking aggression and power at times, Saunders has very good burst and speed off the line of scrimmage. He’ll often find the weakness in the defense and explode for big plays.

Saunders also offers an option in the return game, averaging 15 yards per punt return in college.

PLAYER TO WATCH: T.J Jones, Notre Dame

RSR’s Kyle Casey wrote a piece on Jones, one of my favorite prospects from the Fighting Irish, earlier this week. Check it out HERE.
