The Ravens have started “Day 3” of the 2007 NFL Draft by signing a few undrafted free agents.  The Ravens have been extremely effective in attracting talented players whose names were not called during the first two days of the draft.  Notable players brought on through the informal “Day 3” process include: Priest Holmes, Mike Flynn, Bart Scott and Will Demps.  To kick off their 2007 undrafted free agent pursuit the Ravens have so far signed the following players:

Syracuse University kickoff specialist Brendan Carney signed as UDFA.

Southeast Missouri State defensive end Edgar Jones agreed to a free-agent contract with the Ravens. Jones, an all-American who was the national Division I-AA leader in quarterback sacks last season, will attend the Ravens’ mini-camp that begins Thursday.

Tennessee Volunteers’ place-kicker James Wilhoit signed with the Ravens less than 10 minutes after the draft’s final selection.

Northeastern University senior Kendrick Ballantyne has signed a one-year free agent contract with the Baltimore Ravens. Ballantyne, a tight end, caught 39 passes, including seven touchdown passes, in 11 games in 2006. He served as Northeastern’s co-captain in 2006.  More HERE

Former Central Michigan University star receiver Damien Linson signed with the Ravens on Sunday. “I’m really excited about it,” Linson said. “I’m ready to get started.” More on Linson HERE
