That includes signing eight players who were on the team’s practice squad last season, including wide receivers Ernie Wheelwright (Minnesota) and Edward Williams (Lane), offensive tackles Joe Reitz (Western Michigan) and Tre Stallings (Mississippi), running back Matt Lawrence (Massachusetts), cornerback Anwar Phillips (Penn State), offensive guard Brian Johnson (LSU) and tight end Isaac Smolko (Penn State).
Baltimore also signed two players off injured reserve, including defensive end Bryan Mattison (Iowa), the son of new defensive coordinator Greg Mattison, as well as wide receiver Justin Harper (Virginia Tech), a seventh-round draft pick last season.
Mattison was sidelined last season with a foot injury, and Harper underwent surgery to repair cartilage in his left knee.
