I-AA All-American choice by the Associated Press, Sports Network, the Walter Camp Foundation (as a junior) and AFCA (as a senior) and was a 2-time College Sporting News Fabulous Fifty selection…Was also an All-Southland Conference honoree at DB and returner as a senior…Transferred to Nicholls State from Southern Mississippi after his sophomore season…Played in 46 total games (26 at Southern Miss. and 20 at Nicholls State), starting 23 (20 at Nicholls State and 3 at Southern Miss.)…Recorded 179 tackles (144 solo), 24 PD, 8 TFL, 7 INTs, 3 sacks, 2 FRs and 1 FF, while also amassing 1,060 yards and 3 TDs on KORs, while adding 425 punt return yards.
2008: (Nicholls State) Earned Div. I-AA All-American honors from the Associated Press, Sports Network and AFCA…Started all 9 games, tying a career high with 55 tackles, (career-high 50 solo), 7 PD, 3 sacks (-25 yards), 2 INTs, 2 FR and 1 FF…Led the team in all-purpose yards (661), returning 16 KOs for 472 yards and 1 TD and 10 punts for 152 yards and 1 TD.
2007: (Nicholls State) Named a Div. I-AA All-American by the Associated Press, Walter Camp Foundation and Sports Network, while earning College Sporting News Fabulous Fifty honors and was named the SLC and LSWA Newcomer of the Year in his 1st year at Nicholls State…Also tabbed as a 1st-team All-Southland Conference performer as a safety and 2nd-team All-SLC as a returner…Started all 11 games, netting 51 tackles (36 solo), 8 PD and a career-high 5 INTs, returning 3 for TDs…Combined with teammate Kareem Moore to return 4 INTs for scores against Northwestern State to tie the NCAA record for most in a game and set the NCAA mark for most in a half…Returned a school record 96-yard punt for a TD against Texas State, which was 2 yards shy of the NCAA record…Was second in the SLC, averaging 17.1 yards per punt return and 26.7 yards per return on KOs…Burst onto the scene with a school-record-tying 3 INTs, including 1 returned for a score in the win over Division I-FCS Rice.
