Although former New York Giant running back Tiki Barber is interested in playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the feeling isn’t mutual.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers have zero interest in signing Barber.
Barber, 35, is attempting to make a comeback and end his retirement.
The New York Post reported that Barber was interested in playing for the AFC champions.
Agent Mark Lepselter said he hasn’t spoken to any teams. The Giants don’t want him back.
"Tiki wishes the Giants the best and they have wished him the same," Lepselter said. "In light of the fact that they will not be retaining his rights, and have stated such publically, we are hoping that we can begin speaking with other teams as soon as possible."
Barber can’t talk with any teams until there’s a new collective bargaining agreement, so he’ll be waiting a while.
