Despite many industry tabloids writing off TE Tony Gonzalez entering his 15th season because of age, he is still a viable starting fantasy TE. I know rookie sensation Julio Jones is now a Falcon and Roddy White is the clear favorite of QB Matt Ryan, but consider this. Gonzalez led all TE’s in targets in 2010 inside the 20 yard line and the 10 yard line. He is durable, thrown to near the goal line, and a future Hall of Famer. If you want steady performance and want a player who you know will play each week, you can still count on Tony Gonzalez to be your fantasy starting TE.
You know if you draft Frank Gore you have to handcuff his back up, right? Although as of today the 49ers have rookie 4th round pick Kendall Hunter listed as third on the depth chart he is the back up to Gore and not Anthony Dixon. If Gore is not able to play, Hunter will be the every down back.
I rarely talk about place kickers but that said, a lot of Saints will chosen and if you want their placekicker be careful! John Kasay was just signed to replace Garrett Hartley who is out for as many as ten weeks with a hip injury. Kasay is 7th all time PK with 433 field goals.
