Bills, Bengals, Patriots, Giants, Eagles, and 49’ers are on the bye this week, week nine is the last week with byes.
Ravens, Ravens defense had no turnovers Sunday vs. Houston, the last regular season game they did not record a turnover was, Week 12, November 28, 2010, a 17-10 win over the Buccaneers
Bears, WR Earl Bennett should return to the lineup this week against the Buccaneers
Browns, With Seahawk DB Marcus Trufant on the IR with a back injury, Colt McCoy’s match up this week appears to be more favorable…he has gone 80-145-775 yards, 5 touchdowns and 2 interceptions his last three games…not sure what to make of Peyton Hills this year, Montario Hardesty should at least share carries this week if not more
Cowboys, This could be the Cowboys best fantasy match up of the year facing the Rams…St. Louis has allowed 11 scoring throws, and give up 161 yards a game on the ground…RB Demarco Murray will be the primary back this week with Felix Jones out for as much as 4 weeks with an ankle injury…get Murray if you can
Broncos, While I am not a fan of Tim Tebow’s mechanics, he was the top fantasy quarterback the final three weeks of 2010
Lions, RB Jahvid Best suffered concussion last week, and he has had them in the past… he will miss this week’s game against the Falcons….Maurice Morris and Keiland Williams will share carries against their 7th ranked run defense, who allow 97.5 yards a game
Houston, WR Andre Johnson’s hamstring is healing faster than thought but he will miss Sunday’s huge divisional game against the Titans…WR Jacoby Jones is actually learning how to run pass routes, creating fantasy value
Colts, QB Curtis Painter’s last three games has this statistic line, 51-91. 746 yards, 5 touchdowns and one interception….he has a great match up against the Saints, who have allowed a league tying high of twelve scoring throws….RB Joseph Addai will probably miss Sunday night’s game, Donald Brown and Delone Carter will share carries
Jaguars, RB Maurice Jones-Drew has rushed for at least eight four yards in each game this year, he has faced the Ravens just once, the final game of 2008, he had 23 carries for seventy eight yards, and did not score….WR Mike Sims- Walker was picked up after his release from the Rams, the former Jaguar should start against the Ravens
Chiefs, In the Chiefs last two games, victories over the then winless Vikings and winless Colts, Matt Cassel is 39-58 for more than 500 yards, 5 TD’s and no interceptions…he faces the Raiders this week, in two games last year against them he threw for a total of just 331 yards, with three interceptions and 2 scoring throws
Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas will play against the 16th ranked run defense of the Broncos, they allow 123.4 yards a game, and have given up 4 rushing touchdowns
Vikings, Christian Ponder will make his first NFL start against the Packers and their 31st ranked pass defense, they allow 301 yards a game….the Vikings have said Donovan McNabb will remain on the roster for the remainder of the season
Raiders, Carson Palmer will start at quarterback this week against the Chiefs, the Chiefs have allowed twelve scoring throws, tied with the Saints for the most this year…Palmer has been coached by Hue Jackson before in Cincinnati and at USC, he should be able to grasp enough of the offense to score fantasy points this week
Eagles, RB Ronnie Brown will stay with the team; his trade to the Lions was voided because RB Jerome Harrison could not pass the physical
Rams, QB Sam Bradford will play against the Cowboys despite an ankle injury…new WR Brandon Lloyd who played for Ram offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels in Denver will start Sunday
Buccaneers, RB LaGarrette Blount will not play in London against the Bears, Earnest Graham will get the start, he had 109 yards last week against the Saints, good match up this week, Bears allow 121 yards a game on the ground, and allow 5.4 yards a carry
Redskins, John Beck gets the start at quarterback against a Panther pass defense that has just nine sacks….this is not a permanent move, if Beck is not able to move the team, Rex Grossman will again be under center
