The Baltimore Ravens continued their efforts in the community on Tuesday when current players Brendon Ayanbadejo, Anthony Allen, Ed Dickson and Justin Tucker hosted a football clinic for Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play.

The event which was held at Du Burns Arena in Baltimore featured over 200 Hispanic children who learned the basic fundamentals of football. The NFL Play 60 event was also held in conjunction with the NFL’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Smiles filled the arena as the kids took part in football drills along with the Ravens players. “To be able to do this with real players is a dream come true.” said one child who caught a pass from linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo. “This is so awesome.” added another.

Baltimore linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo who has been involved with this event for the past 3 years stated, “Anytime you get the chance to teach kids football and teach the kids some life lessons it’s something you have to take every advantage of. We do other things where we go to schools and feed the homeless and do things like that, but you get the kids outside of the school setting and you get to focus on athletics and their health so those are things that are important and I will continue to be a part of this for the rest of my time here in Baltimore.”

Although the weather was dark and gray out on Tuesday afternoon, Ayanbadejo, Dickson, Allen and Tucker shined bright.
