GONNA RUN LIKE THE WIND
Two of the NFL’s most dynamic backs square off this Sunday when RB Ray Rice of the Ravens and RB Jamaal Charles of the Chiefs meet at Arrowhead Stadium. Entering Week 5, Charles (third round, 73rd overall) and Rice (second round, 55th overall), who were both drafted in 2008, rank 1-2, respectively, in net yards from scrimmage. Charles has 512 total yards, while Rice has posted 491.

- Chiefs GM Scott Pioli served as the Ravens’ pro personnel coordinator in 1996. Pioli moved to Baltimore with the Cleveland franchise, where he worked as a personnel assistant from 1992-95. He was also the vice president of player personnel with the Patriots (2002-08) when Ravens LBs coach Dean Pees served as the LBs coach (2004-05) and defensive coordinator (2006-09).
- Ravens S Bernard Pollard was selected by the Chiefs in the second round of the 2006 Draft and played with KC from 2006-08. He amassed 189 tackles (162 solo), 3 INTs and 1 sack during his time in Kansas City.
- Ravens defensive coordinator Dean Pees and Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel served on the same staff of the New England Patriots from 2004-05 – Pees as the LBs coach and Crennel as the defensive coordinator – helping the team win Super Bowl XXXIX.
