Breast cancer awareness month is winding down as October nears its close. And you have to give the NFL their props for heightening awareness throughout the country as all 32 teams participate in the cause for the cure.
Teams have worn pink gloves, pink towels, pink socks and pink shoes to acknowledge their support. Even the game officials have donned shades of pink to do their part as well.
Recently a young boy from Marlboro, NJ wrote to Commissioner Roger Goodell (copy of letter below) and suggested that pink penalty flags be used as well.
Sometimes if you ask, your wish will be granted and that’s exactly what Goodell has done.
The league announced today that this week’s game featuring the New York Jets and the Miami Dolphins will feature penalty flags that will look like they’ve arrived straight from Victoria’s Secret.
I wonder if the flags will be weighted with potpourri?
Now if that boy would only write to CBS and get Dan Dierdorf off the air…
