Broncos head to Baltimore for aerial assault

The Denver Broncos have the kind of offensive punch that will make any team hope for a bye week.

They’re a lot different from last year when it was all about Tim Tebow and a prayer or two. The Broncos kept it on the ground as much as possible and hoped for something to happen. They were fortunate in that it usually did, but it’s a new day in Denver.

Bringing in Peyton Manning changed everything. There were those who wondered what he had left after missing 2011 following neck surgery. But Manning hasn’t missed a beat –after a bit of a slow start – and is one of the NFL’s top passers.

Manning comes into Sunday’s game with the Ravens having thrown for 3,812 yards through 13 games. In addition, Manning’s tossed 30 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions as the Broncos are really rolling with him under center.

The passing attack has plenty of options. Demaryius Thomas comes first on that list with 74 catches for 1,197 yards plus eight touchdowns. He was the big-play guy last year in Tebow’s limited air attack, but Thomas has enjoyed this year much more.
