The Ravens hit the practice field today with a few faces that collectively represented a sight for sore eyes.
Although limited, Ray Rice, Chris Canty, Arthur Brown and Brandon Williams participated. Rice is the team’s most dynamic playmaker. Not only does he bring a needed threat to the running game, the only other running back besides Bernard Pierce on the roster, namely Shaun Draughn, did not participate due to an ankle injury.
Canty and Williams could provide needed depth in the defensive line rotation, which took another blow on Sunday when Terrence Cody left the game in the first quarter with a knee injury.
Perhaps the biggest surprise on the list is Marlon Brown who sat out today with a neck injury. If he fails to go on Sunday the recovering Deonte Thompson could take his active spot. Thompson’s return could also fill a potential void in the return game given Draughn’s injury.
